Tributes from the Jimmy Robertson Roast sponsored by the ASHA Foundation in October 2004
He's not just a friend
He's more like family
He even has his own vocabulary
'Goodern,' 'newern,' and 'rurnt' are just a few
He teaches plenty of life lessons, too
Integrity, honesty, and how to tell the truth
But the one I seem to remember most
Is what White Castles do!
-- Will Harris
Jimmy is the master
The best pony guy
If you don’t listen to his coaching
He gives you the eye
He is the one, always wearing suspenders
And he is also known for having a few fender-benders
Jimmy is known as the wet willie guy
And because of his personality he is definitely not shy
He pulls your pony tail to make you mad
But he is always there for you when things go bad
Jimmy is the best in the world as you can see
I am so glad he is the trainer for me!
-- Caroline Kamer
It was the greatest moment of my life,
and you were there,
my second chance was denied,
but you were still there,
you led me up the ramp as my heart sank,
but you looked up at me and gave it a little yank,
you're the reason the barn's my home away from home,
but before I get there, I best be hiden' my phone,
but you don't always take things like my phone,
you gave me my "dumb ol' colt" with a mind of his own,
you were always with us to teach and to guide,
and when I heard the words "he's sold",
you never left my side,
you call me Kellogg,
I call you friend,
this is for you Jimmy Robertson,
the memories will never end
-- Kelli House
Jimmy
A ponytail holder, he can't leave alone
A wet willie in your ear is his favorite prank
Heaven forbid he finds out in his own special way
That you have a boyfriend, the teasing's here to stay!
The lessons of life he teaches us all
That it's not just about winning,
That's the judge's call!
As long as we go out and really do our best,
He's always there to say it's your best ride yet!
There are truly no words
To describe how I feel.
My hero, my mentor, my teacher, my friend!
My love & respect he's had from the start
A very special place he has in my heart.
Love, Ivy Johnson
