Jimmy Robertson on the value of an education

Each year as show season begins -- or as school starts, interfering with the Kentucky State Fair World's Championship Horse Show -- the moms of Jimmy and Helen's exhibitors are scheming to figure out how they are going to get their children excused from school one more time.

Jimmy's response, according to Germaine Johnson (mother of Ivy):

"Never let school get in the way of a good education."

When the above was first posted here, a Web visitor commented good-naturedly on the popular SaddlebredTalk.com Discussion Forum that Jimmy had apparently stolen that phrase from Mark Twain, to which Bob Ruxer replied:

"Before we label him a thief, I'd recommend calling Mark ...
chances are, he got it from Jimmy."
